Since launching in 2021 we've heard a lot of great questions. Hopefully these answers help — and if not, we're always a call away.
You will know exactly how the organization and individual officers are progressing in their training objectives. You will also know how much you're spending on training at any given time. The workload of training management will be reduced as the system notifies officers when training is upcoming and when to complete the course by uploading the training certificate. The system is designed for all officers to manage their own training courses and compliance without your oversight.
ConfiTrek is SaaS, which eliminates the need for software to be installed at each organization — all that is needed is an internet connection and a modern web browser. Our service is designed to work on desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile so you can access the system anytime, anywhere.
Uploading training data to your state's website is a one-way street — you provide data but receive no feedback in return. ConfiTrek provides a two-way street: overall organization compliance, individual compliance status, what training is missing, notifications for scheduled training, and comprehensive reports for compliance, budgets, and state audits.
ConfiTrek is an affordable monthly subscription per user in your organization. We typically invoice annually and accept payments by ACH, check, and credit card. Please contact us for pricing specific to your agency's size.
Our service contract is "evergreen" — it doesn't expire until you ask us to terminate it, and all we ask for is thirty days' notice. We like to keep things simple: all contracts include monthly service updates, technical support, and training.
When your organization subscribes to ConfiTrek, we set up your initial administrators and send them an email invitation. Administrators access the system using their email address and a secure password they create. After completing onboarding with our support staff, they can then set up a roster of officers and civilians and invite those individuals to join.
We offer multiple support channels. From within the application, you can submit a support request directly using the in-app form. You can also email support@confitrek.com. We aim to respond within one business day. Most issues are resolved by email, but we're also available via video conferencing when needed.
ConfiTrek was designed to work with any state's law enforcement training compliance mandates — the requirements are embedded in our service. We started in Minnesota and have expanded to Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, and Oregon. We monitor each state's legislative changes and update our service automatically. Contact us to include your state's requirements.
Yes. ConfiTrek can track both state-mandated training and your organization's own compliance requirements for civilians. For example, you can set up a custom compliance requirement for civilians to complete eight hours of OSHA training annually.
Yes. ConfiTrek can work with your IT organization's Identity Provider (IDP) for SSO. This provides a secure, centrally managed way to authenticate users. SSO is a premium offering — contact us to confirm compatibility with your IDP.
FTO reporting is not currently available, but it's on our evaluation list based on customer demand. If your agency is interested in this functionality, please let us know — your feedback directly shapes our development roadmap.
ConfiTrek includes a Use of Force (UoF) module that allows your organization to configure, track, and report UoF incidents — eliminating paper tracking. The UoF module can be cross-referenced with training compliance data to identify patterns. We're also evaluating additional customer-requested features including scheduling, pursuit incidents, Narcan incidents, and officer-assigned equipment.
The data your organization enters into ConfiTrek is owned by your organization. You can download any or all of your data at any time, and data is retained in our system for the duration of your contract. If your organization terminates the contract, you are responsible for downloading your data before the contract expires.
ConfiTrek is hosted in the Microsoft Azure cloud. All network traffic uses HTTPS with TLS 1.2. Databases have 7-day point-in-time recovery with additional weekly and monthly backups. Document artifacts (e.g. training certificates) are geo-replicated to secondary US-based locations. All passwords require a minimum of 8 characters (upper/lower/number) and are stored encrypted and salted with 256-bit AES encryption.
ConfiTrek ///blue serves our law enforcement customers. In the near future, we plan to expand our service to related public safety domains — ///red for Fire, ///purple for EMT, and ///green for Public Works — each with domain-specific features. Ask our sales team about availability.
Our team is ready to answer any questions specific to your agency's needs.
